Questions to ask before you start

A short, honest checklist to run before adding anything to your dog’s bowl.

Updated August 2026·4-minute read

Adding a supplement should be a small, considered decision, not an impulse. A few plain questions up front save money and protect your dog — especially an older one, or one already on medication.

The vet-first questions

Does my dog have a diagnosed condition or take medication? If yes, the veterinarian comes first — anything you add goes past them. Is what I am noticing gradual and even, or sudden and painful? Sudden or painful is a vet visit, not a supplement.

The product questions

Are the actives named with amounts, or hidden in a blend? Is the dose clear for my dog’s weight? Are the claims honest — support, not cure? And can I try it without risk — is there a fair return policy if it is not right?

A daily supplement is not a diagnosis. BounceBack is nutritional support for everyday routines — not a drug, and not a substitute for veterinary care. For an existing condition or ongoing medication, your veterinarian decides.
